GrantWatch offers three ways to search. Use Advanced Search Filters to narrow results by organization name, EIN, UEI, Business Number (BN), Corporation Number, registration status, organization type, and more. Use Keyword Search or Exact Match Search to find organizations by specific words or identifiers. Or use GrantWatch Intelligence™ to search in conversational language and quickly discover organizations, registrations, and related funding information.
Every search draws from the same connected data ecosystem, including IRS records, SAM.gov, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) charity data, Corporations Canada records, and GrantWatch Claimed Profiles. Visibility Tier™ badges identify organizations that have enhanced and verified their GrantWatch profiles with additional information.
Grant Search looks at Human Verified Grants™ with filters, AI Grant Finder, or GrantWatch Intelligence™. Foundation Search researches grantmakers using claimed profiles, IRS Form 990s, SAM.gov, CRA, and Corporations Canada data. Recipient Search researches grant recipients using those same sources. Organization Search looks up any organization by name, EIN/UEI, or BN across IRS, SAM.gov, CRA, and Corporations Canada records - useful when you already know the specific organization or identifier you're looking for.
You can search by Organization Name, EIN (IRS), UEI (SAM.gov), CAGE Code, Business Number (CRA), Corporation Number, or CRA Charity Number, in addition to standard filters like organization type, NTEE code, state/province, city, and ZIP/postal code.
An Unclaimed organization has a profile built from public records (IRS, SAM.gov, CRA, or Corporations Canada) that no one from the organization has verified yet. Organizations can claim their profile to add a Visibility Tier™ badge and additional information.
GrantWatch Intelligence™ is a conversational research tool. Instead of filling out filters, you can ask questions in plain language about any organization, registration, or funding connection.
