Grants to Colorado nonprofit organizations and community-based groups for community health initiatives. Funding is intended for programs that demonstrate community support and address identified health challenges. Community commitment must be a key element in resolving a specific, local, health-related issue or a challenge that impacts the health of the community overall.

Examples of organizations considered for funding:
- Community-based groups or nonprofit organizations (at this time, community groups or community-based organizations without 501(c)(3) nonprofit status will need to partner with a fiscal sponsor).
- Other applicants that can demonstrate a substantial commitment to community-identified and community-led efforts to address complex health-related issues and/or challenges.

Generally, the Foundation does not make grants to or for the following:
- Individuals
- Programs that require membership in a certain religion or advance a particular religious faith (faith-based organizations may be eligible for funding if they welcome and serve all members of the community regardless of religious faith, and provided that they do not require participation in activities that are specifically religious)
- For-profit organizations or programs operated by, or for the benefit of, for-profit organizations
- Debt retirement
- Fundraising events
- Endowments

Pre-Application Information:

The Foundation offers three annual deadlines to apply for grant funding: Feb. 15, June 15 and Oct. 15, but not all open funding will be open each cycle. Applications for rapid response funding do not have a deadline and are accepted on a rolling basis.

Applicants are encouraged to sign up in the grants management and confirm registration at least a week in advance of submitting a grant application.

The next application deadline is February 15, 2020 at 5:00 PM MDT.
