Foundation / Corporation
Kettering Family Philanthropies (KFP) - Kettering Family Foundation (KFF)
Grants to USA nonprofit organizations and government agencies for activities that benefit communities across a broad range of areas, with an emphasis on geographic locations where family members of the Funding Source reside. Request summaries are due prior to the submission of full proposals. Priority areas include arts, culture, humanities, education, environment, health and medical, human services, and public and society benefit.
The Foundation trustees have historically approved grants in those areas where Kettering family members reside. At the same time, 90%+ of the grants approved in recent years have been trustee endorsed, some of which are in areas that may be located outside of family residence areas. Family members live throughout the United States, but there are larger concentrations between New York and New Hampshire, in addition to Colorado.

- Only one Request Summary per calendar year may be submitted to any one of the Kettering Family Philanthropies.
- Previously supported organizations are eligible to submit a Request Summary for the same or different purpose, if the previous grant has been fully expended, and all required reports have been submitted and accepted by KFP.
- Request Summaries due January 31
- Full Proposals due March 15
- Requests Summaries due July 31
- Full Proposals due September 15
If these dates fall on a weekend or holiday, the information is due the next business day. You will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your submission. You will be contacted if additional information is needed. A site visit may be requested.
Request Summaries for the Foundation's next grant cycle will be accepted from December 1, 2018 until January 31, 2019. If your organization is invited to submit a Full Proposal, the deadline will be March 15, 2019.
