Grants of up to $5,000 to Northern Colorado nonprofit organizations, municipalities, educational institutions, and churches for a range of projects that strengthen the communities of Berthoud, Loveland, and the Estes Valley. Please note that grant committee priorities vary across these three regions:
The grantmaking committee encourages funding requests that build community engagement within Berthoud, preserve Berthoud as a great place to live and raise kids, and achieve obvious and meaningful outcomes.
The grantmaking committee will only accept funding requests for projects and organizations that benefit Loveland children.
The grantmaking committee will not consider funding requests for salaries or for capital projects.
Support of projects and/or programs that directly serve the residents of Estes Valley, enhance the Estes Valley community, and provide support to the diverse local population.
Support of innovative, sustainable actions that will make a positive difference in the future, reducing needs and removing barriers that impede success.

Berthoud: Most grant awards are in the range of $1,000 to $5,000. If you would like to request more than $5,000, please contact Director of Donor Services Diana Hollaway.
Loveland: Funding requests should not exceed $5,000.
Estes Valley: Requests received and grants awarded in recent years have ranged from $500 to $5,000.
Estes Valley Applicants: Due to limited funding available, nonprofits should not expect or depend upon receiving grant support from this fund in future years.
The Community Foundation makes grants to 501(c)3 charitable entities, educational institutions, churches, and municipalities.
The Foundation does not make grants to individuals or businesses.
Charitable organizations that are located outside of the Berthoud, Estes Valley, or Loveland geographic area may submit an application to one of those grantmaking committees as long as the organization's funding request meets the established criteria.
The Estes Valley grantmaking process generally does not support endowments, development funds, other foundation general funds, fundraising events, general operating expenses or large capital projects, except for capital projects that have high community interest and are consistent with the goals of the committee.
The 2018 grant cycle will open 7/1/2018 and close 7/21/2018. Funding decisions are made by early November.
An organization may submit only one application during the annual competitive grant cycle.
Estes Valley Applicants will be contacted by a member of the grantmaking committee for additional information.
Fort Collins grantmaking committee does not participate in the Competitive Grant cycle. It does, however, accept grant requests on a rolling basis following discussion with the Director of Donor Services. An agency that is located in Fort Collins may submit a grant application to the Berthoud or Loveland grantmaking committees as long as the agency's funding request meets the criteria.
