​​​​​Grants to Colorado schools to support in-school sports programs. Applicants must complete required certifications prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended to support archery programs in K-12 schools. Grant funds may be used to support a new program or to purchase replacement or additional archery equipment.

There are two types of grants available for schools:

  • New Program Equipment Grants ​offer funding for K-12 schools to purchase their first set of archery equipment to start a NASP® certified in-school program. 
  • Equipment Maintenance Grants offer funding for K-12 schools that have an existing NASP® certified in-school program to purchase replacement or additional archery equipment.

- Package A: Complete Archery Equipment set valued at $3,234
- Package B: Partial Archery Equipment set, ideal for smaller schools, valued at $2,207

Equipment Maintenance Grant: Up to $500

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

​Colorado Parks and Wildlife, in partnership with the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP®), provides funding to K-12 schools in Colorado.

Pre-Application Information:

All applications are due by 5 PM MT on 11/20/20.

New Program Grant Applications
​Step 1: ​​Complete Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) certification training.
- Visit the https://naspbai.org/default.aspx to find your BAI status or a training near you to register.
- Schools MUST have a certified BAI instructor before submitting an application.
Step 2: Schools are encouraged to have matching funds for the equipment, but it is not required to apply.

Equipment Maintenance Grant Applications
Step 1: ​​Ensure at least one instructor for the in-class program has an active BAI certification.
- Instructors with suspended or terminated BAI certifications are not eligible for grant funding.
- Visit https://naspbai.org/default.aspx to find your BAI certification status.
Step 2: Determine specific equipment needs and cost by visiting the NASP Ordering page at https://www.naspschools.org/gear/ordering.
Step 3: Determine the grant request amount and secure at least 50% as matching funds.
