Grant to a USA nonprofit organization, government agency, for-profit organization, or tribe for a project to advance the use of technology in rehabilitation. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take up to several weeks to complete. The purpose of the program is to enhance rehabilitative services.
The Administration for Community Living invites applications for a new award for fiscal year (FY) 2022 for the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERCs) Program: RERC on Recreational, Sport, and Exercise Technologies for People with Disabilities (CFDA 93.433), authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. The purpose of the RERC program is to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act by conducting advanced engineering research on and development of innovative technologies that are designed to solve particular rehabilitation problems or to remove environmental barriers. RERCs also demonstrate and evaluate such technologies, facilitate service delivery system changes, stimulate the production and distribution of new technologies and equipment in the private sector, and provide training opportunities.
