Grants to Colorado businesses in eligible locations to cover expenses related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Funding is intended to provide support to businesses that have experienced losses related to the pandemic. Eligible businesses must have a physical storefront presence within New Castle town limits.

The CARES Act provides that a portion of these funds may be distributed to businesses that have been directly impacted by the pandemic.  Businesses may be eligible for relief funding, provided that their COVID-19 related expenses have not been previously covered by any other type of Federal, State, or local relief.

Term of Contract:

Grant recipients will be asked to provide a written report which details how the funds were used to offset expenses related to COVID-19, no later than Jan. 31, 2021.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be eligible for funding through the Town of New Castle Business Assistance Grant Program, local businesses must demonstrate strict compliance with the following criteria:

- Demonstrate a direct financial impact by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Have a physical store front presence within New Castle town limits.
- Be a for-profit business which is privately owned and managed.
- Demonstrate business expenses which can be directly related to COVID-19.
- Demonstrate business losses which can be directly attributed to COVID-19.
- Verify that funding which may be provided through this grant, has not been, nor will not be, provided for by any other private or public funding source.
- Demonstrate that any funding provided by CARES Act Funds will be fully expended by Dec. 31, 2020.
- Provide to the Town of New Castle a complete report of how CARES Act Funds have been used to help offset COVID-19 expenses.
- Provide a completed form W-9.

Businesses who have had portions of their expenses or losses covered by grants, stimulus programs, loans, or other compensation may not be eligible for funding through this program.

Pre-Application Information:

- Applications will be accepted electronically between Oct. 1, 2020 and Oct. 18, 2020.
- Applications will be reviewed by Town staff. Final decisions will be determined by Town Council.
- Applicants will be notified by email of the outcome (approved or declined).
- All applicants are required to submit a current W-9 with their application.
- Checks will be issued via US mail by Nov 13, 2020.
