Grants to Colorado nonprofit organizations, businesses, schools, housing complexes, and agencies to encourage the acquisition of electric vehicles and related equipment. Funding is intended to support the adoption of electric vehicles and provide public charging points, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and harmful air pollutants. Workplaces and Multi‐Family Housing (MFH) dwellings are highly encouraged to apply.
In an effort to improve air quality and encourage deployment of electric vehicles across the State of Colorado, the Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC) and Colorado Energy Office (CEO) have teamed up to provide financial support for electric vehicle charging stations (EVSE).

The objectives of the Charge Ahead Colorado program are to:
Successful applicants must address how their project achieves two or more of these objectives. Applicants should clearly describe how their organization and their proposed project is uniquely suited to meet these program objectives. Applicants should describe how their proposed project aligns with internal goals of their organizations, such as connections to local government or company sustainability plans.

RAQC and CEO have funding to pay up to 80% of the cost of a charging station, up to the total amounts listed in the table below:
Maximum Funding
- Fleet Only Station: $6,000
- Level II, Multi‐Port Station: $9,000
- Level III, Multiple Connection Standard Station: $35,000
Project funding will remain available for approximately six (6) months. If a project is likely to take more than six months, applicants should consider applying in a future round.
